Swedish companies interested to invest in Indian startups: Saab AB chairman Marcus Wallenberg
Dec 3, 2019 1:44 PM

Swedish firm Saab AB’s chairman Marcus Wallenberg on Tuesday said that Swedish companies are interested to invest in Indian startups.

In an interview to CNBC-TV18's Anu Sharma, Wallenberg said, "There has been longer-term cooperation between Sweden and India. We had a meeting yesterday and it was primarily around innovation as both Sweden and India are always trying to find how do we move from innovation and ideas into real businesses, products and services."

He said, "Government is proposing that we could set up certain areas for industry and innovation in India where we could work more deeply in certain things. We are also looking into questions like skilling, smart cities and that will require not only business but also government support."
