NEW YORK, Feb 10 (Reuters) - Synchrony Financial
CFO Brian Wenzel said during a financial conference on Monday
that he expects the litigation related to the Consumer Financial
Protection Bureau rules on credit card late fees to continue.
"Litigation with regard to late fees will continue and we'll
see over the course of the coming months what the new
administration and the new leadership at the CFPB think about
that. Again, we can't control it, we just react to it," Wenzel
said.
So far, the company has not changed its relationship with
the regulator.
"We're keeping our head down. We have a lot of respect for
the CFPB", Wenzel said, adding that the credit card company is
treating the relationship as "business as usual."
