CAIRO, April 14 (Reuters) - Iran's action against Israel

was a "legitimate act of self defence", Syria's foreign minister

told his Iranian counterpart in a phone call on Sunday,

referring to Iran's attack on Israel on Saturday, Syrian state

media reported.
