07:32 AM EDT, 04/02/2024 (MT Newswires) -- T. Rowe Price Group ( TROW ) and BlackRock ( BLK ) have backed Disney's (DIS) two directors who are being challenged in a proxy battle, according to media reports.

T. Rowe Price ( TROW ) voted for Maria Elena Lagomasino and Michael Froman, "comfortable that management has a viable plan to address the important matters facing the company," reports said Tuesday.

BlackRock ( BLK ) is also among the several investors supporting the incumbent directors, a Wall Street Journal report said Monday.

Disney, T. Rowe Price ( TROW ) and BlackRock ( BLK ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
