04:25 PM EDT, 08/08/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Taiga Building Products ( TGAFF ) at the close of trade Friday reported "marginally better" earnings for the second quarter, helped by higher revenues.
Net earnings for the quarter ended June 30 rose to $15.1 million, or $0.14 per share, from $13.9 million, or $0.13, over the same period last year primarily due to increased gross margin dollars.
The company's sales for the quarter were $441.0 million compared to $427.8 million a year earlier. It said the $13.1 million, or 3%, rise in sales was largely due to a higher average pricing as well as product mix over the quarter.
EBITDA for the quarter was $23.5 million compared to $22.7 million, primarily due to higher margin dollars earned during the quarter.
The company's shares closed down $0.09, or 2.7% to $3.20 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
