Taiwan activates stock stabilisation fund after precipitous falls

TAIPEI, April 8 (Reuters) - Taiwan authorised the

activation of its stock stabilisation fund on Tuesday after two

days in a row of precipitous falls on the market in

reaction to new U.S. tariffs.

The finance ministry, which oversees the government-run

National Stabilisation Fund, made the announcement in a

statement on its website.
