Open source startup Hasura has become the 10th startup to turn unicorn this year. The venture raised USD 100 million in funding round led by GreenOaks with participation from existing investors Nexus Venture Partners, Lightspeed Venture Partners and Vertex Ventures.

Consumer neo-banking platform, Niyo recently raised USD 100 million in its Series C round of funding. The round was led by Accel and Lightrock India with participation from Beams Fintech Fund. Existing investors Prime Venture Partners, JS Capital also participated.

It won't be long before India hits a century of unicorns. But, yet only a handful of these billion-dollar startups have a woman co-founder. This scarcity of women leaders at some of India’s most valuable startups is a symptom of the tethers that run all the way down to the bottom of the pyramid. In India, 7 out of 10 startups have less than 20 percent women in leadership positions, according to an Innoven Capital report.
