05:36 AM EDT, 10/17/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing ( TSM ) reported Q3 earnings Thursday of 12.54 new Taiwan dollars ($0.39) per diluted share, up from NT$8.14 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected NT$11.55.

Revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30 was NT$759.69 billion, compared with NT$546.73 billion a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected NT$750.21 billion.

For Q4, the company expects revenue to be between $26.1 billion and $26.9 billion. Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expect NT$805.95 billion ($25.05 billion).

Shares of the company were up more than 7% in recent pre-bell activity.
