Acquisition strengthens TAK presence in Southern California

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 9, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- TAK Broadband announced today the acquisition of Gulbranson Services, Inc. (GSI), a telecommunications services contractor based in Southern California, from company founder Bob DeLaHoussaye.

TAK is a national provider of fiber and broadband network services, last-mile connectivity and on-premise technology deployment solutions for the broadband and telecommunications industries.

Founded in 2005 and headquartered in Victorville, CA, GSI provides drop bury, maintenance and fiber-to-the-home construction services to top tier telecommunications providers.

"We have great respect for the business Bob DeLaHoussaye built, and the GSI team will be a valuable addition to the TAK platform," said TAK CEO Trent Edwards. "GSI is an experienced drops and construction services provider that will bolster TAK's California operations."

GSI has historically served Riverside and San Bernardino counties, but with this acquisition, the company will expand its reach across all of Southern California.

Platinum Equity acquired TAK in March 2024.

"Part of our investment thesis with TAK is to pursue accretive tuck-in acquisitions that help diversify the company's customer base and increase its reoccurring revenue," said Platinum Equity Co-President Jacob Kotzubei and Managing Director Dan Krasner in a joint statement. "GSI helps advance the ball on both fronts. The broadband communications services space remains highly fragmented, and we will continue working with TAK to grow both organically and through additional acquisitions."
