Talen Energy Unit Receives $300 Million of Escrowed Funds for Cumulus Data Center Transaction

07:38 AM EDT, 08/26/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Talen Energy ( TLN ) said Monday that its Cumulus Digital unit has received $300 million of escrowed funds under its previously announced agreement with Amazon.com's ( AMZN ) Amazon Web Services for the Cumulus data center campus.

The unit received the amount on Friday after attaining development planning milestones for the AWS campus of 960 megawatts of power consumption, Cumulus Digital General Manager Cole Muller said.
