08:42 AM EDT, 09/03/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Talisker Resources ( TSKFF ) said Wednesday that tests on laser sorting methods at its Bralorne gold project in British Columbia showed the ability to separate waste rock from the processing stream.
In the second phase of testing conducted at a German facility, the system assessed 371.3 kilograms of Bralorne ore. It identified 24.7% as waste and 27.1% as high grade, with results pending confirmation by follow-up assays, the company said.
In the first phase reported in February, Talisker said the laser method increased average feed grade to 27.8 grams per tonne from 14.4 g/t, with gold recoveries of up to 99% while rejecting as much as 55% as waste.
"We are impressed with these results using our run-of-mine material and full-scale equipment," chief executive officer Terry Harbort said. "We can see the sorter's ability to concentrate mineralized quartz vein material into high- and medium-grade fractions while separating waste into pure waste and low-grade fractions. As we await the assay results, we will fast-track design, permitting and construction phases."
Talisker shares closed up $0.03 at $0.77 Tuesday on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
