08:24 AM EDT, 04/15/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Talisker Resources ( TSKFF ) on Monday said a rock-sampling program at its Ladner Gold Project in British Columbia showed some high-grade mineralization.
The company, whose shares rose near 11% on Friday, said it collected 175 samples in the program, with 137 showing gold mineralization. Best results included 97.7 grams per tonne on gold in one sample and 13.4 gpt of gold in the sample with the second-highest reading.
Talisker said it is still concentrating on advancing its Bralorne gold project in British Columbia and expects to increase exploration efforts at Ladner once that mining project is complete.
"We are very pleased with these preliminary results from Ladner and the demonstrated consistency of gold grades across a broad area. Our sampling indicates there are additional mineralized zones in the same setting as the Caroline mine, along strike, yet to be fully explored. Once we have brought our flagship Bralorne Gold Project into production, we are looking forward to returning to the Ladner Gold Project to expand the known mineralization," CEO Terry Harbort said in a release.
Talisman shares closed up C$0.06 to C$0.62 Friday on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
