Tapestry Secures Approvals in EU, Japan for Planned $8.5 Billion Acquisition of Capri Holdings

11:55 AM EDT, 04/15/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Tapestry (TPR) said in a Monday filing that the European Commission and the Fair Trade Commission of Japan have approved the company's planned $8.5 billion acquisition of Capri Holdings ( CPRI ) .

The company said the only pending antitrust regulatory approval for the transaction is in the US but the acquisition's completion remains subject to other closing conditions.

The transaction was announced in August 2023, under which Tapestry agreed to acquire Capri for $57 per share in cash.
