Tata Group-owned NELCO Ltd on Monday (October 16) reported a 26.7% year-on-year (YoY) jump in net profit at ₹5.7 crore for the second quarter that ended September 30, 2023.

In the corresponding quarter last year, NELCO Ltd posted a net profit of ₹5 crore, the company said in a regulatory filing.

In the quarter, total revenue stood at ₹76.6 crore during the period under review, up 1.6% against ₹75.4 crore in the corresponding period of the preceding fiscal.

At the operating level, EBITDA declined 2.1% to ₹13.9 crore in the second quarter of this fiscal over ₹14.2 crore in the corresponding period in the previous fiscal.

EBITDA margin stood at 18.1% in the reporting quarter against 18.8% in the corresponding period in the previous fiscal. EBITDA is earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation.

Shares of NELCO Ltd ended at ₹794.00, up by ₹3.50, or 0.44%, on the BSE.
