09:41 AM EDT, 06/02/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Teck Resources ( TECK ) said Monday that it has temporarily shut down the semi-autogenous grinding mill at its Carmen de Andacollo copper mine in Chile due to a mechanical issue.
The metals and mining company said it expects the shutdown to last one month as the mill is repaired. Teck said it will try to mitigate the impact of the interruption by rescheduling planned plant maintenance while the mill is inactive.
The company also said it doesn't expect the production halt to have a significant impact on its production and has not changed its guidance for copper production this year.
Shares of Teck Resources ( TECK ) were up 1.4% in recent trading.
