09:34 AM EDT, 09/06/2024 (MT Newswires) -- TEGNA ( TGNA ) and the Dallas Mavericks said Friday they signed a multi-year broadcast rights deal for TEGNA ( TGNA ) to air all non-nationally televised games.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
Beginning with the Mavericks' Oct. 26 game against the Phoenix Suns, TEGNA's ( TGNA ) KMPX channel will broadcast over 70 games during the season, with 15 or more also airing on the WFAA channel in Dallas-Fort Worth, according to the company. Additional broadcasts will be available on TEGNA ( TGNA ) stations in other Texas markets, including Waco, Tyler, and Midland-Odessa.
The agreement will also make WFAA the official local broadcast partner for the Mavericks, providing additional coverage and leading regional advertising campaigns, according to the company.
