10:54 AM EDT, 06/16/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Tegna ( TGNA ) said Monday its stations will expand their local news programming with the launch of local newscasts from 7 am to 9 am daily in over 50 markets via streaming, TV apps and station websites.

The expansion project will provide more than 100 hours of breaking news, weather and traffic to more than 100 million viewers, the company said.

Shares of the company were up more than 1% in recent trading.
