03:38 AM EDT, 03/17/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Teledyne ( TDY ) said Tuesday it started full production of its high-density 16GB DDR4-X1 flight models that are designed to be radiation-tolerant memory components for space applications.
The hardware delivers data rates up to 2400 megatransfers per second while providing specific radiation tolerance levels to allow operation in orbit, the company said.
The component maintains a physical footprint identical to lower-density versions, which will let satellite manufacturers upgrade capacity without redesigning entire circuit boards, Teledyne ( TDY ) said.
The company also said the broader product line will feature eight-gigabyte models alongside NASA Level 1 variants for long-duration missions, with expected availability in Q3.
