07:49 AM EST, 02/03/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Teledyne Technologies ( TDY ) said Monday it has closed the roughly $710 million acquisition of certain aerospace and defense electronics businesses of Excelitas Technologies.

The acquisition includes Excelitas' Qioptiq brand optical systems business and its US-based advanced electronic systems business, Teledyne Technologies ( TDY ) said.

The company also said the acquired businesses will operate under the name Teledyne Qioptiq and will be folded into its aerospace and defense electronics division.
