Teledyne Technologies to Buy Saab's TransponderTech Maritime Unit

08:28 AM EDT, 08/28/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Teledyne Technologies ( TDY ) said Thursday it will acquire TransponderTech, a maritime communications business from Saab.

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The company said Sweden-based TransponderTech offers Safety of Life at Sea-certified navigation and communication systems, including an Automatic Identification System, VHF Data Exchange System, and Global Navigation Satellite System technologies for use in commercial, military, and airborne applications.

The business will be integrated into Teledyne FLIR's Maritime group, which includes Raymarine, FLIR Marine, and ChartWorld, the company said, adding that the deal is expected to close in Q4.
