08:17 AM EDT, 06/23/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Teledyne Technologies ( TDY ) division Teledyne FLIR Defense said Monday its Black Hornet 4 Personal Reconnaissance System has been approved for the Blue UAS list with an authority to operate.

The approval was granted after completing the required National Defense Authorization Act and cybersecurity verification process, the company said.

Black Hornet 4 is a lightweight nano-drone that provides covert situational awareness to small fighting units.

The Blue UAS list of the Defense Innovation Unit vets commercial drone technology for the Department of Defense and the US government, according to the statement.
