10:47 AM EDT, 10/10/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Telefonica's ( TEF ) Chilean subsidiary said Thursday that it has received several non-binding expressions of interest and that a due diligence process is being conducted with several potential buyers.

Telefonica Chile said that it has no further information regarding the sale and therefore cannot provide details on the likely financial impact to the company.

Mexico's America Movil said earlier this week that it is working with Chile's Empresa Nacional de Telecomunicaciones to jointly explore a potential offer to acquire Telefonica's ( TEF ) Chilean assets.

Chilean telecom operator WOM may also make an offer for parts of Telefonica Chile, Bloomberg reported Friday, citing a person familiar with the matter.

Shares of Telefonica ( TEF ) were up 1.2% in recent Friday trading.
