Telephone and Data Systems Names Walter Carlson CEO

08:30 AM EST, 01/27/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Telephone and Data Systems ( TDS/PV ) said Monday it has named non-executive Chair Walter Carlson as president and chief executive, effective Feb. 1.

Walter Carlson will succeed LeRoy Carlson, Jr., who will assume the newly-created role of vice chair, the telecommunications service provider said.

LeRoy Carlson will continue to serve as United States Cellular's ( USM ) board chair, the company said.
