04:37 AM EDT, 08/16/2024 (MT Newswires) -- TELUS ( TU ) said late Thursday it has acquired about 2.6 million subordinate voting shares in TELUS International at an average price of 4.25 Canadian dollars ($3.10).

The acquired shares represent about 2.3% of the outstanding subordinate voting shares of TELUS International and about 0.9% of all its outstanding shares.

The company said it purchased the shares for investment purposes.
