05:09 PM EDT, 03/12/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Tempur Sealy International ( TPX ) said late Tuesday it's still working with the Federal Trade Commission to advance its planned acquisition of Mattress Firm and expects the antitrust regulator to complete its review of the deal by the end of Q2.

Tempur still expects the deal to close in "mid to late 2024," it said.

Also, the two companies are making "joint progress in planning for post-closing, including solidifying Mattress Firm's key supplier relationships ahead of the expected closing," Tempur said.

Tempur shares were rising past 2% in recent after-hours trading.
