Tenet Healthcare Sells Five Hospitals in Alabama to Orlando Health

07:35 AM EDT, 10/01/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Tenet Healthcare ( THC ) said Tuesday it completed the sale of its 70% majority ownership interest in Brookwood Baptist Health in Birmingham, Alabama to Orlando Health.

The deal included five hospitals: Brookwood Baptist Medical Center, Citizens Baptist Medical Center, Princeton Baptist Medical Center, Shelby Baptist Medical Center, Walker Baptist Medical Center, and other affiliated operations, the company added.

The firm's Conifer Health Solutions unit signed a ten-year contract to offer revenue cycle management services for the operations.

Tenet struck the deal with Orlando Health in August for roughly $910 million in cash.
