04:45 AM EDT, 07/30/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Terns Pharmaceuticals ( TERN ) said late Monday that it appointed Elona Kogan as its chief legal officer while announcing changes to its c-suite.

Kogan, who takes over with immediate effect, joins the company with a career spanning over 20 years in the life sciences sector. Previously, she served as the chief legal officer at Seer (SEER).

Meanwhile, Terns said Bryan Yoon, its chief operating officer, will remain with the company through Sept. 3 as part of the "transition."

In addition, the company said that Mark Vignola, chief financial officer, will leave in a "planned transition." A search for a new CFO is underway, and Vignola will continue to serve in the role through the end of January, or until a successor is found.

Shares of the company traded almost 4% lower in after-hours activity on Monday.
