05:32 PM EDT, 05/13/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Terran Orbital ( LLAP ) has been selected by Lockheed Martin ( LMT ) to produce 18 satellite buses for the Space Development Agency's tranche 2 tracking layer, Terran said Monday.

Financial details of the deal weren't disclosed.

Lockheed Martin ( LMT ) will provide the Space Development Agency with 16 missile warning/missile tracking space vehicles with infrared sensors and two vehicles with missile defense infrared sensors, Terran Orbital ( LLAP ) said.

Each Lockheed Martin ( LMT )-built tracking layer satellite will have a Terran Orbital ( LLAP ) bus.
