12:24 PM EDT, 04/23/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Tesla (TSLA) filed a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification notice Monday for its plan to lay off 2,688 workers in Texas starting June 14, media reports said Tuesday, citing the WARN notice.

US labor laws require employers with at least 100 employees to file a WARN notice, which serves as a 60-day notice, for planned layoffs that will affect at least 50 workers.

Last week, Tesla filed a similar notice for its plan to lay off 285 employees in Buffalo, New York starting July 15.
