Tesla Investor Norges Bank Rejects CEO Musk's $1 Trillion Pay Plan; Shares Down Pre-Bell
Nov 4, 2025 3:12 AM

05:59 AM EST, 11/04/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Tesla (TSLA) shareholder Norges Bank Investment Management voted against the proposed $1 trillion compensation package for the electric vehicle maker's chief executive, Elon Musk, citing concerns Tuesday regarding the size of the package.

"While we appreciate the significant value created under Mr. Musk's visionary role, we are concerned about the total size of the award, dilution, and lack of mitigation of key person risk -- consistent with our views on executive compensation," the investor said. "We will continue to seek constructive dialogue with Tesla on this and other topics."

Tesla didn't immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.

The company's shares were down 2.5% in recent premarket activity.
