12:36 PM EDT, 03/30/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Tesla (TSLA) is making a major investment in Japan related to service and superchargers, CEO Elon Musk said in a Monday post on X.
Many Tesla parts are manufactured in Japan and Panasonic has been the company's top strategic supplier over the past two decades, Musk said.
The post follow's a Nikkei Asia report on Sunday that Tesla intends to double the number of service centers in Japan to over 30 in 2026 as part of efforts to boost after-sales support and subsequently capture market share.
