07:13 AM EST, 11/13/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Tesla (TSLA) is recalling 2,431 Cybertruck electric pickups due to a fault in the drive inverter that may cause potential loss of drive power to the wheels, increasing the risk of accidents, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Tuesday.
Included in the recall are Cybertruck vehicles manufactured between Nov. 6, 2023, through July 30, 2024, Tesla said in its report to the NHTSA. A fault may cause the inverter to stop producing torque and lose propulsion, Tesla said.
The company said it will replace the faulty drive inverters free of charge.
