06:50 AM EST, 01/24/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Tesla (TSLA) has filed a plan with China's State Administration for Market Regulation to recall 335,716 Model S, Model X, Model 3, and Model Y electric vehicles produced between July 2023 and December 2024 over a possible electric current issues, the regulator said Friday.
The defect may damage the power supply component on the cars' motherboards, causing a malfunction of the rearview camera and possibly affecting the driver's field of vision when reversing and increasing the risk of vehicle collision, the regulator said.
Tesla will troubleshoot the bug using remote upload technology or at service centers, the regulator said.
Tesla will also use remote upgrade technology to upgrade 871,087 domestically produced Model 3 and Model Y EVs recalled over software problems in the electronic power steering system which may cause the electronic power steering function to fail or be limited.
Tesla did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
