Tesla Reportedly Makes New Round of Price Cuts in China, Germany

08:00 AM EDT, 04/22/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Tesla (TSLA) has cut prices of its Model 3, Model Y, Model X and Model S in China by 14,000 Chinese renminbi ($1,932), according to media reports citing the EV maker's website.

In Germany, the company also cut the price of its Model 3 rear-wheel drive by 2,000 euros ($2,127), reports said.

Tesla Chief Executive Elon Musk said in a post on X that "Tesla prices must change frequently in order to match production with demand," responding to a comment regarding the company's multiple price cuts over the past months.

Tesla did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
