05:56 AM EDT, 06/06/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Tesla (TSLA) shares advanced in pre-bell activity Friday after Chief Executive Elon Musk signaled he was open to a reconciliation with US President Donald Trump after their falling out erupted in open hostility Thursday.
Widespread reporting on the acrimony between the two men and their accusatory and threatening social media posts coincided with a 14.3% drop in Tesla shares Thursday.
Musk later Thursday praised suggestions by a social media user on his X platform for a cooling off period between the two men as "good advice" and replied to billionaire Trump supporter Bill Ackman's suggestion that two men "make peace" with, "Good advice."
Politico reported that White House aides have scheduled a Friday call between Musk and the president in an effort to broker a truce.
Shares of Tesla subsequently rose more than 4% in premarket activity early Friday.
The White House and representatives of Musk did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
