06:09 AM EDT, 06/09/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Tesla (TSLA) shares were down 2.6% in recent premarket activity Monday after US President Donald Trump said he had no desire to reconcile with the electric vehicle maker's chief executive, Elon Musk, following their recent feud.
"I have no intention of speaking to him," Trump told NBC News in an interview Saturday. Trump said he assumed his relationship with Musk was over, accusing him of disrespecting the office of the presidency.
Trump reportedly also warned of "serious consequences" if Musk funds Democratic candidates to run against Republicans who vote in favor of the president's budget bill.
Trump also said he hadn't given his suggestion about canceling Musk's firms' federal contracts any more thought, according to the report.
