07:32 AM EDT, 06/14/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Tesla (TSLA) would recall 5,836 imported Model 3, Model S, and Model X cars from July for software fixes, multiple media outlets reported Friday, citing China's State Administration for Market Regulation.

The move was described as a product recall under Chinese regulations, Reuters reported.

Whether or not the drivers may be eligible to return the cars to Tesla for refunds was unclear, according to the report.

Tesla did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
