Tesla to Spend More Than $500 Million on Charger Network This Year, Musk Says

08:07 AM EDT, 05/10/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Tesla (TSLA) will spend over $500 million to expand the charging network for its electric vehicles, Chief Executive Elon Musk said Friday in a post on X.

"Just to reiterate: Tesla will spend well over $500M expanding our Supercharger network to create thousands of NEW chargers this year," Musk said. "That's just on new sites and expansions, not counting operations costs, which are much higher."
