01:48 PM EST, 11/24/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Tesla's (TSLA) claim that the Netherlands Vehicle Authority, or RDW, has committed to approving its Full Self-Driving Supervised system in February 2026 has been denied by the agency in a statement on Monday.
The agency confirmed that Tesla is set to demonstrate the system in the same month but said the decision is "yet to be determined."
Tesla said in a post on an X post on Saturday said that its "main path" to getting the system approved in the EU is through RDW.
Tesla's claim also asked followers to thank the agency for its supposed commitment. RDW, however, urged people not to contact it regarding the matter, saying that the issue "takes up unnecessary time" for its customer service.
"Road safety remains the RDW's top priority: approval is only possible once the safety of the system has been convincingly demonstrated," the agency said.
Tesla did not immediately reply to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
