05:41 AM EDT, 10/03/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Tesla's (TSLA) most affordable Model 3 variant, the Standard Range Rear-Wheel Drive, is no longer available for order in the US, the company's website showed.

The Model 3 Standard Range Rear-Wheel Drive uses lithium iron phosphate battery cells from China, Reuters reported.

The Model 3 Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive is now the entry-level option in the US, starting at $42,490, according to the report.

The company did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
