Tesla's Optimus Humanoid Robots Could Make Automaker a $25 Trillion Company, Elon Musk Reportedly Says
Jun 14, 2024 5:25 AM

08:01 AM EDT, 06/14/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Tesla (TSLA) Chief Executive Officer Elon Musk claims the company's Optimus humanoid robots could eventually make the automaker a $25 trillion company, multiple media outlets reported Friday, citing Musk.

"I think we're not just opening a new chapter for Tesla, we're starting a new book." Musk reportedly told investors at the annual shareholder meeting on Thursday.

In 2025, Tesla expects to start "limited production" of Optimus and test the humanoid robots in its factories, Musk said.

Musk expects "over 1,000, or a few thousand" Optimus robots will be working at Tesla in 2025.
