Tetra Tech Wins $73 Million USAID Contract to Improve Electricity Access in West Africa

10:09 AM EDT, 07/02/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Tetra Tech (TTEK) said Tuesday it has received a $73 million single-award contract from the US Agency for International Development to improve access to affordable and reliable electricity in 18 West African countries.

This new contract extends Tetra Tech's 10-year collaboration with Power Africa Empower West Africa, the company said.

Under the contract, Tetra Tech said it will introduce smart meters, artificial intelligence-based data analytics, e-mobility solutions, and training programs for renewable energy careers.

Shares of Tetra Tech were up 1% in recent Tuesday trading.
