10:32 AM EDT, 06/24/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Teva Pharmaceutical Industries ( TEVA ) said Monday that it has introduced an authorized generic of Victoza, or liraglutide injection 1.8 milligram, in the US.

The liraglutide injection is indicated to improve glycemic control in adults and children aged 10 years and older with type 2 diabetes mellitus and cut the risk of cardiovascular events in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus and established cardiovascular disease, the company said.
