03:39 AM EDT, 10/14/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Textron ( TXT ) unit Textron Aviation said late Monday its Cessna Citation CJ3 Gen2 aircraft has been granted US Federal Aviation Administration type certification.

The nine-passenger jet, with a range of 2,040 nautical miles and a payload of 5,530 pounds, is expected to enter into service this year, the company said.
