01:10 PM EDT, 05/14/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Textron ( TXT ) said Tuesday the Federal Aviation Administration granted supplemental type certification approval for the company's communications program for the Hawker 4000 business jet.

The approval covers a fully integrated Future Air Navigation System and Protected Mode Controller Pilot Data Link Communication program for Hawker 4000 aircraft equipped with the Honeywell PRIMUS EPIC integrated cockpit.

The program is intended to allow pilots to communicate more easily with air traffic controllers.
