10:27 AM EDT, 05/20/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Textron ( TXT ) subsidiary Textron Systems and Kodiak Robotics said Monday they are partnering to develop an autonomous military vehicle for driverless operations.

As part of the collaboration, Kodiak will integrate its autonomous system, the Kodiak Driver, into a Textron Systems prototype.

The vehicle will also incorporate Kodiak DefensePods, adapted for military use. The companies plan to demonstrate driverless operations later this year.

Financial details of the partnership were not disclosed.

Shares of Textron ( TXT ) were down 0.6% in recent trading.
