03:13 PM EDT, 10/14/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Textron ( TXT ) unit TRU Simulation + Training said Tuesday it received a purchase order for five of its Cessna Skyhawk Veris virtual reality simulators from the US Aviation Academy.

Under the deal, the US Aviation Academy has provisions to buy an additional 10 units in the future, the company said.

The simulators will be delivered to the US Aviation Academy's training facility in Texas. The deal debuts the Veris simulators to the fixed-wing training market and marks TRU's first fleet order for VR training devices, according to a statement.

Textron ( TXT ) shares rose 2.7% in recent trading.
