10:55 AM EDT, 07/28/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Textron's ( TXT ) Kautex Textron GmbH unit said Monday it received an order from an unnamed automotive original equipment manufacturer for a full-BEV thermoplastic composite lower battery housing unit.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

The lower housing, part of Kautex's Pentatonic battery enclosure portfolio, seals and protects the vehicle battery while meeting structural and thermal requirements, including crush and bottom impact tests as well as internal and external fire tests, the company said.
