One of the most significant aspects of Thales' vision for India is its plan to double its engineering footprint in the country.
"Our ambition is to double the size of our engineering footprint in India. In India we currently have 2,000 employees and out of this 1,500 are working in engineering centres and we hope to double this workforce by 2027," Caine said.
Caine highlighted that the company is also looking to establish more partnerships and collaborations with airlines in India.
Thales sees a promising future in India and is anticipating high single-digit growth in the coming years.
In addition to expanding its engineering capabilities and forming alliances with Indian airlines, Thales is also considering acquisitions in India. Domains such as aviation and electronics are being eyed for potential investments, Caine said.
