Thyssenkrupp raises book value of steel unit to $3.5 billion

FRANKFURT, May 12 (Reuters) - Thyssenkrupp is

currently giving its steel division a book value of around 3

billion euros ($3.5 billion), the group's finance chief Axel

Hamann told journalists on Tuesday, reflecting greater

expectations for the business.

In December, Thyssenkrupp had put the book value of

Thyssenkrupp Steel Europe (TKSE) at 2.4 billion euros.

($1 = 0.8512 euros)
